What is the listing fee? The listing fee is a variable fee that is based on the species, age, and breed of the pet. It is paid by the pet owner on the Rehome website, to list their pet on Adopt a Pet.
Will we still receive adoption fees for pets we refer to Rehome? Since Rehome is no longer collecting the adoption fee, your shelter or rescue will no longer receive the adoption fee. You will, however, receive the listing fee for any pets referred to Rehome via your unique tracking URL, provided that owner pays the listing fee, so does not use a coupon code to waive the listing fee.
How do I ensure that my shelter/rescue is receiving the listing fee on any pet that I refer to Rehome? In order for your organization to receive the listing fee, you must be referring pet owners using a tracking URL. This URL will look like this: rehome.adoptapet.com/r/123456. The number in the tracking URL is specific to your organization. If you are not referring using a tracking URL, please email us at helpdesk@adoptapet.com and we will happily send you one!
What if the pet owner wants to charge the applicant an adoption fee? The pet owner can set an adoption fee at the time they create the profile. This is the adoption fee that the pet owner collects from the adopter.
